Miami's 'filthy' streets in 1912

In January of 1912, a Miami visitor sent a letter to the editors of the Miami Daily Metropolis complaining of "peanut hulls, orange skins and trash of every kind on Twelfth street [now Flagler Street] Sunday mornings."
